Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: Every Evil Ex Fight Ranked Worst To Best

The fight with Roxie feels akin to the first evil ex battle as it mostly revolves around hand-to-hand combat between the combatants. However, it gets additional points as it is the first time that we get to see Ramona kick into action.

The build for Roxie is planted well, as she is the only ex - alongside Gideon - to have had an interaction with Scott before their fight. Additionally, the consistent motif of Scott calling them evil ex boyfriends and Ramona correcting it to exes also foreshadowed Roxie subtly throughout.

This fight itself is entertaining to watch as Roxie's belt whip is a fascinating weapon, and the giant hammer that Ramona employs feels totally appropriate for her. The sequence becomes particularly interesting once Ramona begins to use Scott's body to fight for him, seeing as he has to be the one to defeat Roxie.

Whilst the ending - with Scott touching her "weak spot" behind her knee - is a unique climax to the battle, the sexual connotations still don't explain how this defeats her. However, despite the strange end, the fight is still entertaining.
