Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: Every Evil Ex Fight Ranked Worst To Best

This entire finale is where Scott Pilgrim vs. the World truly shines. This fight had to be the best one or else the film would have felt incredibly anticlimactic, seeing as Gideon is an antagonist who has been built up ever since the introduction of Ramona.

Jason Schwartzman does an amazing job of being the cocky, arrogant toxic boyfriend, and thus the viewers are just as invested as Scott in seeing him taken down.

The battle has two stages, with the first seeing Scott defeated and the second witnessing him finally come out victorious. Additionally, we get to see Ramona and Knives take part in the sequence, which adds a large amount of flair and originality to the bout.

This ending is compelling, as it features plentiful call-backs to previous moments in the film that seemed insignificant at first. For example, seeing Knives and Scott beat G-man down in the same way they played the Ninja fighting game together is utterly satisfying and connects the film's ending to its opening.

Finally seeing Ramona take action against her long-term toxic partner is also very welcoming to witness and makes the eventual knockout kick feel all the more satisfying.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is one of the most kickass movies you will ever see, and thankfully the final boss pays off perfectly.
