Shane Black's KISS KISS BANG BANG follow-up is...

COLD WARRIOR, a Universal Pictures spy thriller that will mark the LETHAL WEAPON screenwriter's much anticipated second directorial outing says Variety.

Based on a script by Chuck Mondry, pic revolves around a spy from the Cold War era who comes out of retirement to team with a younger agent from the new school to confront a domestic terrorism threat orchestrated by Russia.
KISS KISS BANG BANG was so much fun and did an awful lot for Robert Downey Jr. before the ZODIAC and IRON MAN roles came along, Black would be wise to try and cast him again right now. This movie sounds really promising, almost LETHAL WEAPON-ish in the two lead dynamic but different in terms of setting and environment. We will be keeping a close eye on this one.
