Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings: 10 Major New Details You Need To Know
5. Some Big Name MI6 Agents From The Comics Are Set To Play A Role
There have previously been reports that Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will include MI6 agents Leiko Wu, Clive Reston, and Black Jack Tarr. Relatively obscure creations from the comic books, they played a key role in the hero's early adventures, so it's no great surprise that they'll serve as supporting players in this adventure.
In the source material, Shang-Chi ends up working for the United Kingdom's version of the CIA after turning his back on his father (likely his mentor The Mandarin in the MCU), and embarks on a romantic relationship with Wu.
According to Murphy's Multiverse, The Legend of the Ten Rings picks up with Shang-Chi a few years after he's left the spy organisation. Now, his old partner and friend Clive Reston is now married to Leiko Wu (who once had strong feelings for the Master of Kung Fu). As for Jack Tarr, he's described as an "elite martial artist who enjoys the thrill of the battle."
They sound like a fun group, and this could point to the UK being a primary setting for the movie.
