Shang-Chi: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best
8. Death Dealer
If we were ranking characters purely by their aesthetic design alone, Death Dealer (Andy Le) would be an easy #1 with a bullet. But alas, as cool as the character looks, his placement in the film is a tad underwhelming.
The masked member of the Ten Rings appears only sporadically throughout, most notably as one of Shang-Chi's childhood trainers who also ends up fighting him outside the Golden Daggers Club.
It's an electrifying fight scene for sure, and martial artist Andy Le does a fantastic job with the lightning-fast fight choreography, but Death Dealer in this movie is a character who leaves you wanting so, so much more.
In many respects he feels like the movie's Boba Fett - an insanely badass, mostly silent soldier who ends up dying a most unsatisfying death at the hands of a grotesque creature.
And unlike Boba Fett, Death Dealer's demise - having his soul sucked out by a dragon-critter - is unlike to be retconned.
