10. What Are The Plans For Skaar?
Realistically, this should have been the post-credit sting for the entire season rather than Emil leaving prison for Kamar-Taj. Yes, this was a big development, but was it really bigger than Bruce Banner returning to Earth with his Sakaarian son, Skaar?
Right now there is unlimited potential for what the franchise’s newest Hulk can bring to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Arguably his greatest moments in the comics have come whilst locking horns with his own father, but with Bruce fully in control of his Smart Hulk form, this seems unlikely.
So what is the direction Marvel Studios will take with Skaar? In the source material, he has been a hero, a villain, and even an anti-hero. This opens the door to potential futures with the Avengers, squaring up against any number of MCU heroes, or even as a part of the Thunderbolts, no matter how unlikely.
The announcement everyone wants is of course a new Hulk movie, with Bruce’s sabbatical away from Earth at first seemingly suggesting an adaptation of World War Hulk, but as said before, there really could be anything in Skaar’s future. Hopefully there is something big, and this wasn’t just an Easter Egg reference for the sake of it.
