Sigourney Weaver: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

2. Ramona Clark - You Again (2010)

You Again is a type of film not usually associated with Sigourney Weaver. Normal, everyday life, bitchy women and a dull script are all things scarcely found in the same place as the actor, but You Again features them all. As part of an ensemble cast, Weaver plays Ramona Clark, the former best friend of Gail (Jamie Lee Curtis), and a woman jealous of her old 'bestie' having always outshone her in their high school years. Intriguing casting given their respective genre statues as the horror and sci-fi scream queens of their eras. Sadly, Weaver's performance as Ramona never feels quite authentic in the role of an ordinary woman, and while she certainly can play such a character (Copycat, Red Lights), the shoe never quite seems to fit in You Again.
