Unfortunately, it sounds like they were just generic goons meant to chase her down, so expecting them to look exactly like their comic book counterparts may have been wishful thinking. However, it could have been fun seeing what Sony did with them, and this pretty much confirms that they're villains Marvel Studios has no serious plans for in any of the web-slinger's future stories in the MCU.
