Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - Ranking The Returning Characters

3. Nancy Callahan

As stated earlier, Nancy Callahan is taking center stage in the revenge-fueled original story "The Fat Loss". No longer the little girl/damsel in distress that Hartigan gave his life -- in more ways than one -- to protect, Nancy's out to make Senator Roark pay, with Marv along for the ride. At the risk of sounding repetitive, what makes Nancy's return in "The Fat Loss" so exciting is that her story post-"That Yellow Bastard" goes relatively unexplored in the graphic novels beyond a cameo here and there. Alba seems game for whatever Rodriguez and Miller have to throw at her and it's hard to believe that her story will end quite as depressingly as Hartigan's. Being able to watch her transformation from the one being saved to the one doing all the ass-kicking is likely to be one of A Dame to Kill For's most compelling aspects and we're already digging her new look, from the new fashion choices to the battle scars present on her face. Should she get the opportunity to watch the life drain from Senator Roark's eyes, fans will be just as satisfied for and with her.
