Sinister Six Spin-Off Film: 10 Actors Who Could Play The Villains

3. Mads Mikkelsen - Kraven The Hunter

Mikkelsen Kraven Similar to Mortensen, Mads Mikkelsen would fit the best way to adapt Kraven for modern audiences. He has past form playing villains - with his Le Chiffre standing as one of the finest modern Bond villains, and his work as Hannibal making the TV watching world's skin crawl collectively - and he has that intangible essence that translates well to removed, exotic characters. Kraven fits Mikkelsen's screen presence wonderfully, and his still thick Danish accent could be used explicitly to channel Kraven's Russian back-story (albeit with some development.) Though he fits the mold of Hollywood's favourite villains (i.e. he is European,) films like The Hunt have compounded his image as a phenomenally gifted actor, and that should be at the forefront of casting decisions for the Sinister Six, in order to avoid the particularly ominous threat of creating something that is just too pantomimey. The Hunter is arguably the most difficult to cast of all of the involved rogues, because of the very precise demands of his origin story - which is why the Ultimate version of the character had to go full Running Man to make him an appropriate threat - but reimagining a backstory that fits the origin, but makes him more of an outright killer would be a far better approach.
