Slender Man Review: 2 Ups & 7 Downs

1. There Are A Few Creepy Moments

Though the overwhelming majority of the film will leave audiences tired and bored, there are a few moments that do admittedly raise the pulse somewhat.

A series of online videos showing grainy, low-fi footage of Slender Man attacking children are genuinely well-crafted, and the creature is semi-cleverly placed into the frame numerous times throughout the film, making smart use of negative space.

Sadly these individual moments aren't remotely worth sitting through the entire movie, but there's clearly some small measure of promise there, even if the film throws it all away spectacularly.
