Solo: A Star Wars Story - 10 Reasons To Be Excited

1. Alden Ehrenreich Will Grow Into The Role

While it's clear that the best things about Solo feature everything but the title character, there's a reason for that. Alden Ehrenreich is stepping into some massive shoes by taking on the part of a character only performed by Harrison Ford, and with the character being iconic as he is, it makes sense why people would be reluctant to accept him in the role - especially when the thought of anyone else playing Han was so unimaginable for such a long time.

But here's the thing, Solo is following the character through six of his most pivotal years as an adult. Any perceived lack of arrogance, charm or wit on Ehrenreich's behalf will surely come into play the deeper we get into the film's story, and with flashes of brilliance already apparent in that original teaser, it's clear that the actor's turn as Star Wars' most popular hero could yet prove to be one of the more interesting the franchise has seen yet.

And that's not to say that Ehrenreich will nail the part. It's more that Solo - while following a Star Wars staple - has rooted itself squarely in uncharted territory. Han is not the Han we see in the Original Trilogy - of course not - but it's a transition that'll surely come into play in the prequel, with Ehrenreich slowly ramping up the cocky arrogance of Ford's portrayal by the time the credits roll.

Of all the actors in the Solo spin-off, Ehrenreich has the most difficult task. That doesn't mean he's not up to it.
