Solo: A Star Wars Story - 12 Rumours That Were Utter Bull

6. It's The First Star Wars Movie Without A Lightsaber Being Ignited

The Rumour: With Solo clearly being separated from the usual Empire, Sith and Jedi goings-on, could it end up being the first of the ten Star Wars movies not to feature a lightsaber being ignited?

The Truth: Close, but no cigar. Much like Rogue One, a lightsaber is briefly ignited thanks to a surprise fan service reveal at the last minute. When Darth Maul (Ray Park) appears via hologram, he can't resist but fire up his lightsaber to give the fanboys some easy chills.

Totally unnecessary? Absolutely. But also super cool? Damn straight. The streak will surely die in the next few years with all the Star Wars movies in the works, but not just yet.
