By now you've probably had time to catch Solo: A Star Was Story - or going by those disastrous early box office figures, perhaps you didn't even bother - yet the prevailing fan sentiment seems to be that Ron Howard has delivered a better-than-expected sci-fi romp.
Even with its flaws and its sure status as an "unnecessary" entry into the Star Wars franchise, Solo serves up enjoyable (and yes, sometimes excessive) fan service, thriling action sequences and some interesting teases for future movies. Whether those planned Solo sequels will still go ahead with the soft box office results, however, remains to be seen.
As a mere standalone effort, though, most of the movie's major characters got at least a few moments to shine - and no, THAT cameo doesn't count as a "major character" - be it dropping a killer one-liner, pulling off an awesome action beat, or filling in their backstory in a meaningful way.
