4. Blofeld Isn't In The Film

The title of the 24th Bond film confirms the return of the organisation 007 has long battled, but it does not confirm the return of its leader. SPECTRE was first mentioned in Dr. No, the first film in the Bond series. However, the only member seen in that film was the title character, and SPECTRE didn't play a direct role - it was instead set up for a future film. That same thing could occur now. The main plot of this film will most likely be Bond uncovering SPECTRE's existence, not taking down the whole organisation, so it would make sense if Blofeld is not in the film or only has a minor role. If the producers end up saving Blofeld for a later film, then you might wonder who Christoph Waltz will be playing. Although he is almost certainly the villain, that doesn't mean he has to be Blofeld. It would make sense if Waltz ended up playing a different SPECTRE high up, someone more akin to Emilio Largo. This would leave room for Blofeld to be vaguely teased in the film, perhaps only appearing in one scene.
