5. Christoph Waltz Is Blofeld

Thanks to his portrayal of Colonel Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds, Christoph Waltz has proved that he is more than capable of playing a villain. Because of this, his casting in Spectre has led many fans of the series to believe he will be the film's antagonist. Although his role in the film has been announced, fans suspect that 'Franz Oberhauser' is a red herring, and that Waltz will actually be portraying the leader of SPECTRE, Ernst Starvo Blofeld. And can you blame them? With an actor as talented as Christoph Waltz at their disposal, the producers could reinvigorate Blofeld. Thanks to Mike Myers and Dr. Evil, Blofeld is now considered a dated and campy character, but if Christoph Waltz is in fact playing that part, he could bring charm and intellect to the role, and Blofeld can once again become an intimidating adversary for Bond.
