20. The Thunderball-Esque Funeral

Having despatched Sciarro on M's orders, Bond heads to his funeral - again on her orders - in Rome. That sequence feels like a call back to another SPECTRE Bond film - Thunderball - which opens with a funeral. In both cases, Bond discovers that someone he thought dead (Number 6 in Thunderball and Oberhauser here) is actually alive and disguised as someone else entirely. So that's no accident - both films are concerned with disguise and misdirection.
