19. Mr Hinx

Mr Hinx is like a walking Easter Egg. There was talk before the film was released that Eon and Mendes were looking to hire an iconic henchman for the film, but changed their approach early in production and hired Dave Bautista for the key role. But the swerve clearly didn't change the spirit of nostalgia, as he's riddled with references. The metal nail augmentations he uses to take the eyes of a rival are very reminiscent of Jaws' own "improvements" (even if they're never again used as part of his armoury for some reason), his silence is very Oddjob and his outfit also feels like a riff. The immaculate brown suit definitely gives him an air of Mr Wint and Mr Kidd. And because he's an icon-seeking henchman he also gets his own cartoonish death, but not before he survives an improbable survival followed by a twitching hand, just like Jaws.
