Through the use of the marvellous concept that is logic, SPECTRE's existence in the film is likely to be a far cry from the incarnation of the titular organisation that you all know from the Sean Connery days. While Casino Royale was a reboot for the Bond franchise in many ways, Skyfall took everything fans knew about Bond and turned it on its head. The 2012 film reintroduced iconic characters such as Moneypenny and Q, and killed off Judi Dench's M so they could re-instate a male version not seen since the Timothy Dalton era. Skyfall was the ultimate reboot of a film series that many had started to look generic, giving the series' producers a blank slate to work with. Given the foundation in which Spectre will be building upon, there's no doubt that this incarnation of the organisation is going to be vastly different to the original, so expect Blofeld and his cronies to get much more development this time around. Is Quantum going to evolve into SPECTRE? Was the crime syndicate originally headed by someone other than Blofeld? Who actually created it and are its aims going to be completely different this time? These are all burning questions that can now (and hopefully will be) answered in 2015.
