8. First Look At The Alps Action Sequence
The most immediate revelation in the new teaser trailer is an initial few shots of the much talked-about Alps action sequence. Aesthetic similarities with The Spy Who Loved Me are impossible to ignore, but there are a few differences too. This is far from a wacky Roger Moore-esque chase sequence; the immediate mood is far more gritty and serious, a choice in line with the darker tone of the Daniel Craig era. However, the scene retains an unmistakable 'Bond' feel, equally far from the Bourne-aping action of Quantum of Solace. There appears to be a renewed focus upon spectacular set pieces and shamelessly dramatic shots, news fans of the similarly spectacular Skyfall will welcome with open arms.
