Spectre Ending: 8 Potential Ways It Sets Up Bond 25
2. What Happened To Lucia Sciarra?
Remember that Monica Bellucci was in Spectre? You'd be forgiven given how it was an appearance so fleeting that to call it a cameo feels a bit generous, but she still played a key part in the early stages of the story, pushing Bond from merely cleaning up M's (Judi Dench vintage) loose ends to tackling S.P.E.C.T.R.E. head on. As he heads off to the evil organisation's meeting, Bond leaves Lucia Sciarra in her house where hours before he saved her from assassination. Typically this would mean a later scene of Bond returning to find her covered in gold paint or oil (or, more rationally, with a bullet in her head), but instead he goes straight to Austria and barrelling towards Swann, with Sciarra never mentioned again. He did say he'd get Felix Leiter to help her out of her deadly situation, but the thread is never picked up. Bellucci returning in a sequel is less likely than Seydoux - Bond girls are pretty much always written out between films - but given how any death scene is conspicuously absent (possibly just an oversight on the writers' part or something cut to get the film's still lengthy runtime down) this definitely does leave scope for her to also make a return in Bond 25. Could she have been spared by S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and worked into their ranks as a weapon against Bond? Or will they still kill her and use the death as a way to further harm 007? Or did Felix pull through and is she now with the CIA?
