Spider-Man: 13 Film Moments That Don't Make ANY Sense

4. Spider-Man Could Have Stopped Thanos

In Avengers: Infinity War, the superheroes battle Thanos on his home planet of Titan. When Mantis subdues him, the team do everything in their power to remove the Infinity Gauntlet from his fist. Before they have the chance, Star-Lord punches Thanos, waking him from Mantis' spell, allowing him to overpower the heroes.

While this is happening, we can clearly see Spider-Man trying to pull the glove off of Thanos' hand.

But why doesn't he just remove the Infinity Stones from it? The Gauntlet itself has no power. It's the Stones that harbour the power to unleash incalculable destruction upon the universe. The Gauntlet is simply the container for the Stones. Spider-Man and the rest of the team had the perfect opportunity to stop the Mad Titan then and there but they blew it.
