Where The Gentleman goes, could the Green Goblin follow? Dane DeHaan did an awful job as the villain in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but so did Jamie Foxx, and that certainly hasn't stopped him from making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Electro!

In fairness to DeHaan and Foxx, they weren't working under the right circumstances, and the design Sony Pictures and Marc Webb came up with for the sequel was abhorrent.

DeHaan could easily meet Peter Parker and become friends with him, serving as a mentor rather than a peer. Spider-Man: Far From Home established that the wall-crawler is susceptible to father figures after losing both his Uncle Ben and Tony Stark, so Harry Osborn being there to take him under his wing would bring Peter into the clutches of the Osborn family in a big way.

If Harry works for his father in Oscorp, then that could be how Peter meets him, and he wouldn't necessarily have to even become the Green Goblin in the MCU... in fact, that would probably be for the best, as it's always Norman who should take on that persona first.
