12. Nick Fury And Maria Hill Are Returning

With this new Spidey film being a globetrotting adventure, it makes sense that he'd be joined by characters who've never been bound to the US. To that end, Nick Fury and Maria Hill will be accompanying the wall-crawler this time around, showcasing a team-up that's only appeared occasionally in the comics themselves.
After absenting the Marvel spotlight for several films (Fury's last significant role came in Avengers: Age of Ultron), Samuel L. Jackson's character looks to be back in a big way for MCU Phase 4. The actor will play a key role in next March's Captain Marvel prequel, and with a similar part set to follow in Far From Home, fans can rest assured that the former S.H.I.E.L.D. director will continue to be one of the MCU's biggest influences going forward.
The presence of Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill also makes for good news, as it would appear that the pair are continuing their partnership established at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.
