Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer Review - 7 Ups & 4 Downs
Ups
7. Tactical Nick Fury Usage
Had Sony not chosen to include Nick Fury - whose role in the trailer is quite inconsequential other than for impact when you think about it - we would have been asking one pretty big question, especially with Happy Hogan appearing too. Where is Tony Stark?
There's a hint of him in the giant cheque Happy carries in when he first appears (before he flirts with Aunt May, because apparently that's what she's good for in this universe), but there's no getting around the fact that Tony is Spider-Man's mentor and him not being here is upsetting (even if you're certain he's dead by this point).
But by dropping Fury in and making it clear that he is going to be his new mentor, there's some deflection of that feeling and we all get to be excited by more choice Fury content.
