6. The Effects

It seems to be an all-too-regular occurrence that we sit in the aftermath of a trailer release - even for major blockbuster releases like this - and bemoan the fact that the effects are clearly unfinished and don't reflect what we'll see when the final product rolls into cinemas.

It's almost a caveat to every comic book movie now - an unspoken disclaimer asking for forgiveness on that front - which is always slightly unfortunate, since the effects shouldn't be considered an after-thought.

Thankfully, that's not the case here, which is important given the fact that major effects work cannot be removed from Mysterio as a character. Had they released unfinished (or NOTICEABLY unpolished even) effects work for his grand reveal, it would have been terribly reductive. But they look seriously impressive already.
