It's taken months for it to be revealed, but Gwyneth Paltrow is in Spider-Man: Homecoming, confirming that the rumours of the end of her contract with Marvel are not correct. Intriguingly, her appearance also seems to suggest that her and Tony will be back together.

She's involved in the film - that much is clear - but whether she's actually still romantically linked to Stark remains to be seen. After all, Civil War pretty much firmly established that they were over, and we've already seen Tony flirting with Aunt May.

Still, the extent of her role is intriguing - and if cutting Tony off romantically means she becomes a substantial character in her own right (the MCU needs more of them as it is), then that's a positive stride. Then again, it might be no more than a cameo in a post-credits scene...
