Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 - 10 Comic Stories It Could Adapt
1. Breakout
This one isn't actually a Spider-Man story, it's a New Avengers event that features the wall-crawler in a starring role. It's also an arc that could easily become Homecoming's sequel.
The story begins when Electro breaks a bunch of bad guys out of the supervillain prison known as the Raft, forcing Spidey to forge an alliance with Earth's Mightiest Heroes to round them up.
It was the story which saw Spider-Man earn his stripes as an Avenger and join the team as a full-time member, something that will probably happen in the MCU around the time of Infinity War.
But this is a story that could pick right up from where Homecoming's post-credits scene left off. Swap Electro for a villain whose credibility wasn't destroyed by The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and have them liberate that prison where Vulture and Scorpion are banged up.
The Avengers who survive the events of Infinity War will be in position for supporting roles, meaning all of the piece on the chess board should be lined up nicely for this one in the wake of Avengers 4.
