2. The Beginnings Of The Sinister Six

Before Sony reached an agreement with Marvel regarding the Spider-Man license, their designs for a Spidey Cinematic Universe were fairly obvious. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 pretty much spent its entire runtime world-building and setting up sequels, spin-offs and all the rest, and though Sony were certainly capable of marshalling the character's lore on the big-screen, there was a sense that it was all just a little too soon.

With the MCU having over ten years' worth of history to its name, it should - in theory - be easier for Marvel to navigate the blueprint set by Sony. This would mean the Sinister Six (or even the Superior Foes of Spider-Man) could receive a spin-off of their own, but it's important not to get too carried away. That was, of course, what undid Sony's first Spidey reboot, and with the chance to build something truly brilliant, Marvel would do well to exercise caution from here on in.

That doesn't mean they should be too coy with references however, and considering the Sinister Six have never been done on the big screen, the opportunity to be the studio who did them first is surely to great to pass on.
