3. How Is There Even An Avengers Team Left?! (Oh, And Pepper's Back)

The reveal of Pepper Potts being back is a pretty big one, considering the assumption that Gwyneth Paltrow was completely done with the MCU, but there's a pretty big spanner thrown into the works of the scene that she appears in.

Even putting aside the fact that Tony's motivation to do it is a little questionable at best, how exactly is he in any sort of position to offer Spider-Man a position as an Avenger? How is there even an Avengers team to recruit for?

Assuming that General Ross and the world's governments didn't come down on Tony for the escape of Cap and his loyalists, or the escape of Black Widow and shut him down entirely with even stricter Accords in place, there's nobody to be in his gang.

Thor is off planet, as is Hulk, Black Widow is underground, Cap, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Black Panther and Scarlet Witch are all in hiding or holed up in Wakanda and Rhodey is crippled and out of service. That leaves Vision, who was badly compromised by his romantic link to Wanda and shouldn't be trusted and Tony himself. That's not a team, that's one and a half men.

And who the hell was in the Quinjet flying away seemingly on a mission? Has Tony hired stand-in Avengers? It's all very confusing.
