Spider-Man: Homecoming - 9 Big Implications For The Future Of The MCU
8. Miles Morales Is In The MCU
One of the best scenes in Homecoming is the interrogation scene between Spider-Man (trying out his best Batman voice) and Aaron Davis (played by Donald Glover). It's a great, hilarious showcase for the comic sensibilities of the writers and the actors involved (Glover is brilliant as always), but it could also have a bigger impact on the future of the MCU.
Not only is it left open for Glover to make further appearances in this universe, perhaps more officially under the Prowler name, but there's also the little matter of the nephew he mentions.
That is none other than Miles Morales, the new version of Spider-Man introduced back in 2011 (and a character Glover has voiced in animation). Spidy-fans have been clamouring for a live action take on Morales for a few years now, and while there's no word on if/when that'll happen, the seeds are definitely sowed, as he now exists in the MCU.
It feels unlikely Marvel would introduce another Spider-Man while the current one is still so fresh and still in high school, but we could easily meet a powerless Miles in this trilogy, and then get the web-slinging version later down the line.
