Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer 2 Reactions - 8 Ups & 2 Downs

Though a certain element of DC fanboy cynics will point to Marve's fondness for levity and jokes as the reason they'll never be able to compete with Zack Snyder's vision for the DCEU, the more irreverent spirit of the MCU is perfectly suited to Spider-Man as a character.
This trailer looks to really push the envelope on Spidey's cocky charm - as initially introduced in Civil War - as well as giving him a geeky side-kick very much cut from the same cloth as Michael Pena's Louis in Ant-Man. They should have the comic side of the film covered between them.
There's also a definite John Hughes vibe, as we've long been promised: the film looks as much about growing up and coming to terms with responsibilities as it is about catching villains. There are obviously going to be some grown-up issues in there, but without the need to literally turn the lights off so everyone knows it's supposed to be serious.
