8. Finally, Michael Mando (And He's Not Carnage)

It was almost beginning to feel like Michael Mando's thus-far-unrevealed villain was being provocatively left out of marketing materials because he represented something more than a simple character.

There were already rumours that he might be playing a version of Carnage to set up a future movie (and potentially a spin-off with Venom), and that silence did nothing to ease the veracity of that speculation.

Now, finally, we've got a look at Mando's character, and it appears he's no more than a low level mook in Vulture's "family". Though that is perhaps a little underwhelming, it means he can't be Carnage (and thus the film might not struggle with the too-many-villains disease two other Spider-Man movies have already died from).

It also speaks for the star pulling power that he and Donald Glover don't really appear to be playing remotely important characters.
