He might have to go some way to convincing some older fans that he can compete with Tobey Maguire as the best screen Spider-Man, this trailer continues to prove that his casting as the web-slinger was right on the money.

He's the kind of !*$%-sure, complex hero the character fundamentally calls for: comfortable throwing quips at supervillains, mugging to the general public as he swings by and basically dripping with enthusiasm to live the hero life.

But crucially, you don't need to peel back too many layers to see all of the wounds and the vulnerability that go along with that bravado, and even in this short teaser you can see how well he sells Parker's internal conflicts.
