Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer - 6 Ups & 3 Downs

1. A Chatty Spider-Man

Not only was Peter Parker's social ineptitude accurate for the first time in Civil War (Maguire came across as a bit creepy and Garfield was too cool), Spidey was also the quip-making conversationalist fans know and love from the comics.

The first sequence in this trailer lets us know that Spider-Man has yet to learn that people don't usually talk so much during a fight. Irritatingly mocking a group of bank robbers before dispatching them with little effort, Holland seems to have maintained the balance between being annoying and endearing that Garfield couldn't quite manage, and Maguire never attempted.

With all the robbers now unconscious, Parker breaks character mumbling "Whoa, that was awesome". No doubt the audience mumbled the same thing.

Spider-Man: Homecoming has a lot going for it, but it ain't all good...
