Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse - 10 Reasons To Be Excited

4. The Costume Design

Every Spider-Man needs their own costume, and Miles Morales is no exception.

While the animated wizards at Sony have made a few alterations to Sara Pichelli's original design, it's still the same costume from the Ultimate line of comics. Sporting a black and red design separate to that of the red, black and blue of the original Spidey suit, Miles' costume is both innovative and visually striking, and it would appear as though Sony's animators have gone out of their way to make that apparent.

Instead of the usual Spidey symbol, Miles' suit in this new Spider-Verse flick has its arachnids spray-painted on, further enshrining the costume's 'homemade' feel, and contrasting with the suit of the comics, which was gifted to Miles by S.H.I.E.L.D.

It's a great look though, and it's even cooler seeing the character incorporate elements of normal clothing into the design. New York can get cold in those winter months, and an extra layer (or two) is both practical and fashionable - something this Spider-Man is more than aware of.
