2018 already has a ton of stuff on its plate, what with Infinity War, more Star Wars and DC films inbound, but now we have Spidey too - and at such short notice!
It's a welcome change, mind. Usually the wait between a film's initial announcement and its release feels forever, but with Spider-Verse, things have turned around rather quickly.
Granted, the film will be releasing at the backend of 2018, midway through December, but it's not as long a wait as people might've initially thought.
Add to that the fact that Spidey himself will only be making one appearance before hand, precisely eight months before its release in Infinity War, and it looks like a very good year indeed for the wall-crawler.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
