Doctor Otto Octavius may be one of the most iconic supervillains going, but Olivia may have just beaten him in terms of sheer charisma.
In Miles' universe (the one created for Into the Spider-Verse - not the Ultimate Comics), Olivia Octavius is Doctor Octopus. Her friends call her Liv (which Aunt May does, in a possible throwback to their failed wedding), but her enemies call her Dock Ock. If anything, it's a fun twist on a classic character, and Kathryn Hahn's performance is one of the best in the film too.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir.
