7. Spider-Man Noir

Once you get the post-credits cameo out of the way, it’s harsh that someone has to come bottom. Each of the Spideys, even the ones given smaller roles like Spider-Man Noir, bring something to the party.

No doubt each were chosen in part because of their unique animation style, and Spider-Man Noir certainly delivers there. The black and white flashes look cool against the colour splattered world the rest of the movie plays in, and it’s used for gags effectively with the Rubix cube.

That said, his fighting style does struggle to compete with Spider-Ham’s and SP//dr’s when things get chaotic. His dialogue is knuckle popping quick, but he definitely feels the most out of place in this dimension and so it sometimes gets a little lost.

The fact he’s not a whimsical character in the way of Peni and Ham is to his credit, as the movie needs that more grounded persona. However, when comparing it leaves him falling short. Despite the great work Nicolas Cage does voicing him, he just feels a bit too one-note, and probably the least likely to get a spin-off.
