Everyone who had seen the trailers for Into the Spider-Verse (or is familiar with the comic books) was likely well aware going in that the Peter Parker of Miles Morales' universe was not long for this world.

However, in the short amount of time we did get to see that version of Spidey on the screen, he was everything he needed to be.

He was fun, energetic, could quip just about anyone under the table, and never failed to inspire hope in the people he encountered. In other words, he was the manifestation of everything Spidey fans know and love about the character. What's more, Chris Pine's voice suited the character surprisingly well.

Even until the bitter end, this version of Peter Parker never once faltered on what makes him who he is. Which is why his time on screen was so memorable, in spite of how brief it ultimately was.
