5. More Spideys Could Be On The Way
When the first Into The Spider-Verse was announced, we didn’t know the entire lineup. So while we’ll get Gwen Stacey, Spider-Woman and Silk in the spin-off, there’s no reason a few others might not sneak in there too.
Peni Parker and her assistant SP//dr featured in the first movie, but there’s a lot of other female Spideys that could bring a hefty dose of girl power too.
Spider Girl would be an interesting one to introduce, especially given the focus on Peter and MJ’s relationships in the first movie. In Miles' universe they appear to be the perfect couple, but in Peter B. Parker’s universe their relationship has already crashed and burned. If in another universe the pair had a child together, Mayday Parker (better known as Spider Girl) could also swing into the picture.
They wouldn’t necessarily need to all be girls though. Spider Punk, Spider-Man: India and Spider UK all have something they could add to the mix. If the spin-off wants to replicate the madcap tone of the original, expect more and more Spideys to make an appearance. With so many to choose from, they’ll surely bring something great.
