During the climactic battle on the Statue of Liberty, Spider-Holland squares off against the Green Goblin. At this point, he had already cured Sandman, Lizard, Electro, and Doc Ock, meaning Osborne is his final antagonist.

It's clear from the beginning of the fight, however, that Peter does not intend to cure Osborne. He wants him dead for what he did to Aunt May. Like Andrew described, Tom pulls no punches with Norman, dishing out more brutal blows than ever. All the while, Green Goblin laughs, enjoying the fact that Parker is turning to the dark side.

Eventually, Tobey stops Tom, and Andrew tosses him the cure so he can save Osborne. For a moment, however, it looked as though Peter would do something he would regret. In a film about saving your enemies, our hero came dangerously close to actively killing his most villainous foe yet.
