5. Aunt May
The biggest gut punch of any MCU Spider-Man movie to date, was handily the No Way Home death of Aunt May.
Played by Marisa Tomei, this iteration of May has long been a firecracker who takes no BS - and that was absolutely the order of the day again here.
With Peter wanting to take the easy option and immediately send the alt-world villains of the film back to their own worlds, it was May who was the voice passionately encouraging her nephew to help these rogues to overcome their villainous ways. Even more so, with her death impending after a Goblin Glider attack, May was still keen for Peter to see the best in people, to help people, and to reiterate to him of the responsibility that comes with his great power.
