Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer - 10 Biggest Takeaways

9. Wong

In less than two weeks, Wong will make his sensational return to the MCU in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Until the trailer for the 25th entry in the franchise was released, no one expected to see the former Kamar-Taj librarian until the Multiverse of Madness, and three months later, he will appear again.

There are only a handful of characters that have appeared in two different MCU movies in the same year, and Wong will add his name to the likes of Tony Stark (Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk in 2008), T’Challa (Black Panther and Infinity War in 2018), Captain Marvel (Captain Marvel and Endgame in 2019), and Spider-Man (Endgame and Far From Home in 2019).

Fans are still no closer to seeing how this will tie into his appearance going toe to toe with the Abomination in Shang-Chi, or when exactly they will relate to each other on the MCU timeline, but more Wong can never be a bad thing, right?

Doctor Strange may have surpassed him in terms of skills and rank within the mystical world, yet he still has no problem telling him what to do and putting him in his place. You get the feeling that Wong is invaluable to the Sorcerer Supreme, and that without him, Stephen may be more lost than he would like to admit.
