Spider-Man: Ranking All The Movie Costumes Worst To Best
3. Spider-Man: Homecoming (Homemade Suit)
When Spider-Man finally made his debut into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the studio decided to do things a bit differently than they had in the past: they dumped the origin story.
This was a good call for the studio seeing as Spider-Man's origin story has been done to death. Everyone knows he takes on the burden/responsibility of his great powers after his actions... or inaction that led to the death of Uncle Ben.
In light of this absence, fans were barely introduced to the costume Peter put together prior to finding himself in league with Tony Stark. Stark's suit was a significant upgrade from Peter's original fare, but that isn't to say he didn't have something good from the get-go.
Peter's homemade suit perfectly incorporated the red and blue colors he would wear later in his full appearances. He had goggles for his eyes and his webshooters featured prominently on his wrists. He was also sporting fingerless gloves and a sleeveless hoodie. It's exactly what you would expect a teenage boy to throw together after gaining superpowers without the "burden" of having the money to really make a costume work.
