Spider-Man Upcoming MCU Trilogy: 9 Things We Want To See

8. Passing The Torch

The main highlight of No Way Home which caused applause in cinemas everywhere was the full appearances of both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, reprising their roles as both their respected Spider... Men.

Filling the film with golden moments such as comical relief and heart-wrenching conversations following Aunt May's fate, Marvel heavily displayed the presence of mentorship between the three.

As Peter One (Holland) suffers through a blood-red rage phase towards Norman Osborn, we see Peter Two (Maguire) stop him before doing anything they know Holland's Parker would regret. Similarly, we now see Peter Three (Garfield) has committed fully to the role of Spider-Man following Gwen Stacy's death, providing a nice contrast between all three versions of Spider-Man for Peter One to decide who to be in the future.

Each multiversal web-crawler has the advantage of sympathising with each other and lending a hand in the more personal side of "great responsibility". As Holland's Peter heads off into New York alone after the threequel, Sony's extension could age up the character until he reaches a point of passing the torch to the next young Avenger.

Much like Insomniac's PlayStation Spider-Man and Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man, Tom Holland could become the experienced warrior to help debut the next Spider-Man.
