Spider-Man Upcoming MCU Trilogy: 9 Things We Want To See
6. Peter's Personal Development
One thing that the MCU's incarnation of Spider-Man hasn't really focused on is the usual betrayal of Harry Osborn, or a translation of it.
Granted, Liz's role as the daughter of Michael Keaton's Vulture was an ominous callback to such an event, however, Sony could morph one of Peter's current peers into an antagonist for him to eventually fight. Many theories suggested that Jacob Batalon's Ned could even end up becoming the Hobgoblin, who was essentially a more hostile predecessor of the infamous Green Goblin.
An important detail that is highlighted in Doctor Strange's spell in No Way Home was the fact it would be a planet-wide effect. Though this has awful side effects (such as losing Happy, Ned and MJ) there is still that hope that the few Avengers who are currently off-planet would still remember Peter when they return.
Because of this, the mentorship between other MCU superheroes and Peter could continue through the assortment of people who have met him before in Endgame (Captain Marvel, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc).
