Spider-Man: Homecoming - 6 Villains Michael Keaton Could Play (& 4 He Shouldn't)

2. The Vulture

Almost at exactly the same time that Michael Keaton was initially linked to Homecoming, it was rumoured that The Vulture was going to be appearing, though probably as the opening act villain rather than the main big bad.

If that caveat is indeed true, it would be wrong to cast Keaton as Adrian Toomes, as he deserves a more leading role. But the idea of having Spidey's first real supervillain involved in Marvel's first Spidey stand-alone does have a nice ring to it.

Vulture - a business man who is forced to turn to crime when his partner ruins him - would also allow Marvel to take further advantage of the excellent swinging physics we saw a glimpse of in Civil War. Having aerial combat/chase sequences with the winged villain would be spectacular.

Keaton is also getting on, and the idea of him playing a fairly sympathetic older villain does feel right.
