Spider-Man: Homecoming - 6 Villains Michael Keaton Could Play (& 4 He Shouldn't)

1. Norman Osborn

If there's one thing from Keaton's past work that makes him the perfect candidate for a new Norman Osborn, it's the never-bettered way he played up Batman and Bruce Wayne's character conflict. He remains the only Batman actor who understood that Bruce Wayne was the mask, and his unease in his own skin (something you feel exists in Keaton himself from interview footage) was the perfect tic.

Willem Dafoe did a very similar thing after his grip on reality was being destroyed by the Goblin suit: playing up the unnaturalness of blending in and the intoxicating appeal of letting go as Goblin. If you can't see the appeal of Keaton doing that, you've not been paying attention to his career.

It's only a matter of time before Marvel cast their Norman Osborn, and it would be a smart move to have someone of Keaton's status and ability in early (even if he doesn't become Green Goblin immediately).

And what about the ones he absolutely, 100% shouldn't be cast for...
