8. Davey Jones (Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest)
While the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequels are pretty ropey, one of the best things about them was Bill Nighy's squid faced bad guy Davey Jones. While he is now mostly squid, he most definitely used to be some sort of Scottish pirate type. Captain of the Flying Dutchman and charged with ferrying the souls of the dead to the afterlife, Davey Jones decided after being stood up by his beloved Calypso that he would in fact just sail the seas ransacking ships. In his defence, it is damn annoying when someone stands you up and it's not like he could just tweet her to find out where she was so his unending rage is understandable.
